CAres day Logo
Cal Lutheran Cares Day is an annual day of giving that allows the school community to support students. Donations help provide academic resources, scholarships, and other forms of assistance throughout the year.
The tagline for the 2021 Cares Day campaign was “Stronger Together.” The university recognized the importance of restoring a sense of community after the challenges students, faculty, and staff faced during the pandemic.

The client wanted a fun and fresh logo focused on themes such as caring, community, and togetherness. They also noted that it would be great for a new logo to have continuity with the previous Cares Day logos (to the right). These logos incorporate Enormous Luther, the golden statue gifted to the University by the first graduating class of 1964.

FINAL LOGO
After careful review and discussion, the client selected the option of two Enormous Luthers holding a heart together with a slight modification. They wanted to preserve the original figure of Enormous Luther with both arms up in the air. This request was incorporated into the final logo.
The final logo was applied to various print and digital marketing materials, including posters, stickers, website, and more. A total of $1,081,600 was raised during 24 hours with the support of 1,899 donors and 2,584 gifts.
